Jeff Co. halts Lady Cylones

  GREENEVILLE--Against one of the state's top 3-A girls squads, the Elizabethton Lady Cyclones played a solid first half but crumbled down the stretch in a 59-43 loss to the Jefferson County Lady Patriots Monday at Hal Henard Gymnasium.
  The Lady Cyclones trailed by just four at the break, but fell to key second half runs from the 10-1 Lady Patriots, who have one blemish to its record courtesy of Greeneville.
  Elizabethton will now face the always tough South Greene Lady Rebels at 2:30 p.m. today in a potential contest between two regional foes in the Greene County Bank Ladies Classic.
  Cameron Crapps led the Lady Cyclones with 15 points, while Rikki Baughman and Michaela Pietrowski each tallied eight apiece for the squad. Valneesha Redd added seven.
  For Jefferson County, Ashley Huff and Lindsey Lyke each contributed double-digit games with 23 and 16 points respectively.
  Two other Lady Patriots had nine each.
  Lyke dropped four three-point buckets in the game, while Crapps tallied three trays for Elizabethton.
