Buffs fall short in Florida

BABSON PARK, Fla.-- Webber International defeated Milligan
College 63-42 Saturday in women's college basketball action.
Milligan trailed at the half 28-16 and narrowed
the gap to six points late in the contest, only to see Webber
pull away in the final minutes.
Leading the way for the Lady Buffaloes were junior
forward Ann Marie Gardner with nine points and sophomore guard
Kari Stout with eight points.
Webber's Brandy Loveday led all scorers with 14
points.
The Lady Buffs are now 1-8 with the loss, while
Webber improved to 7-5 on the season.
Milligan returns to action on Jan. 6 at 5 p.m.
when they go to Berea (Ky.) College.
