South Green beats 'Landers; Cloudland JV team tops Rebels

   South Greene, now 3-3, defeated Cloudland Monday evening on their home court after taking an early lead and grasping it until the 55-45 finish. The JV Highlander squad squeaked by the Rebels with a 50-49 win.
   Greene appeared to be in control as they finished the first quarter with a score of fifteen to six. Tyler Sauceman led the Rebels by sinking sixteen points, followed by Cody Caraway with fifteen. Bruce Wright contributed ten points.
   The Rebels cushioned their lead in the second quarter, going into the half with a 31-19 gap. The Highlanders (1-2) made their presence felt in the third quarter, scoring twelve points while holding Greene at nine.
   Craig Cook led the Cloudland scoring with sixteen points, six of which came from 3-pointers, and Jake Hughes hit three treys. Cloudland nearly matched Greene's scoring in the fourth, putting up fourteen to their fifteen points, but was unable to close the gap.
