Trailblazers down 'Dogs

   Kevin Champagne amassed 12 points and eight rebounds on Tuesday night, helping Daniel Boone post a 65-37 victory over Hampton in a non-conference contest.
   The Trailblazers dominated the boards in the game, outrebounding the Bulldogs 39-19.
   Daniel Boone, which got 10 points apiece from Ryan Doyle, Aaron Cox and Hunter Compton, took control early, outscored Hampton 16-7 in the first quarter. The 'Blazers led 31-17 at the half.
   Adam Miller was tops for the 'Dogs, scoring 12. Zack Trivette chipped in with eight.

   In the opening round of a tournament hosted by John Battle, the Longhorns got 16 points from Jon Stout and broke up a close game in the second half.
   Johnson County, which led 21-19 at intermission, received a 14-point showing from Judd Shoun. Michael Lipford added 11.

   Tri-Cities Christian 43
   Matt Conley totaled 16 points for the Jr. Bucs, who got 14 from Ryan Collins and 10 from Mike Tyson.

   Jamie Massengill totaled 11 points, six steals and five assists for the Lady Trailblazers, who started to take over after leading by just two points (15-13) at the end of the first quarter.
   Haylee Collins topped Daniel Boone in scoring with 14.
   Lacey Oliver paced the Lady Bulldogs with 10 points. Heather Chambers accounted for seven.

   Jo Thomas' 19 points led the Lady Jr. Bucs to victory. Diana Bowers added 12 and Katie Crowe 11.
