Hackler, Weaver make All-Region

from staff reports

Some people like to spike punch. Megan Hackler and Wendy Weaver like to spike volleyballs.
These two Milligan College standouts do it so well they earned spots on the NAIA All-Region team.
Hackler, a former Sullivan North standout, had a 97 percent serving average in 2001. Her serving receiving average was a very impressive 90.29 percent.
"She's a great all-around player," Milligan head coach Debbie Cutshall said. "We're definitely going to miss her after this year, especially her leadership role."
Weaver also had a stellar year for the Buffaloes. She led Milligan in kills and hitting percentage.
"When we needed a point this year we always went to her side, and she wouldn't let us down," Cutshall said.
The Lady Buffs finished the season at 25-15.
