Lady Buffs fall in OT

  BARBOURVILLE, Ky. -- The Milligan College Lady Buffs fought back twice from four-point leads held by Union (Ky.) College at the end of regulation and overtime, but Union (5-1 overall, 1-1 AAC) held on to win the Appalachian Athletic Conference matchup by a 72-70 OT score on Saturday afternoon.
  Milligan (2-3 overall, 1-1 AAC) held a 34-26 advantage over Union at halftime, as the Lady Buffs shot 39.5 percent (15 of 38) from the field compared to 27.5 percent (11 of 40) for Union in the first half.
  Leading the way for the Lady Buffs was sophomore forward Kacie Letterman with a double-double as she scored 12 points and grabbed 14 rebounds while junior guard Kari Stout scored 14 points with six rebounds. Senior forward Lacy York grabbed a game-high of 16 rebounds for Milligan.
  For Union, forward Dawn Davidson led all scorers with 15 points while forward Jennifer Cornett also scored in double-digits with 13 points.
  Union finished the game shooting 34.2 percent (27 of 79) from the field to Milligan's 32 percent (24 of 75), while the Lady Buffs outrebounded Union 65-46.
  "I am pleased with our effort but I am not as pleased with our execution," said Milligan head coach Rich Aubrey.
  Next for the Lady Buffs is another AAC road trip to face Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, Wednesday, Nov. 24 for a 5:30 tip-off.
