Ohio road trip results in two wins for Buffs

  MARION, Ohio--The Milligan College Buffaloes basketball team won at Ohio State-Marion Saturday afternoon by a 90-47 score to finish their two-day Ohio road trip.
  With the win, the Buffs improve to 3-0 on the season while OSU-Marion falls to 0-4.
  The Buffs held a slim 37-34 lead over OSU-Marion, but a 46-6 run by Milligan put the game out of reach for OSU-Marion, which was only able to score 13 points in the second half.
  Milligan was led by senior forward Craig Emmert with 23 points. Freshman guard Anthony Wilhelm contributed 18 points, sophomore guard Adam Hughes scored 16 and freshman forward Harvey Bell added 12 in the Buffs' victory.
  "We played well defensively in the second half," said Milligan assistant coach Tae Norwood. "We made the right second-half adjustments and our bench stepped up with 36 points tonight."
  Next for Milligan is their first Appalachian Athletic Conference game of the season as the Buffs travel to Alice Lloyd College in Pippa Passes, Ky. on Tuesday Nov. 16 for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff.

  NEWARK, Ohio -- The Milligan College Buffaloes basketball traveled to Ohio State-Newark Friday evening to take a victory by a score of 94-71.
  Milligan was led by sophomore guard Nick Tuggle as he collected 17 points and 10 assists along with nine rebounds, finishing just one rebound away from a triple-double.
  Emmert led Milligan in points with 23 and had 10 boards. The Buffs had a pair of freshman guards record double-digit figures in points, with Wilhelm racking up 15, and Harvey Bell 12 to go with his seven rebounds.
  "We played good team defense in a well played game," said Norwood. "We moved the ball well against their press and our post players had a big night for us."
  OSU-Newark dropped to 0-3.
