MC put out of region

  MAYFIELD, Ky. -- The Milligan College Buffaloes soccer team lost in the NAIA Region XII semifinals to the region's No. 1 seed, Mid-Continent (Ky.) University, as the Buffs were defeated by a 4-1 score.
  With the loss, the Buffs had their 2004 season come to an end as they finished with a 14-8-1 record.
  Mid-Continent led the match 2-0 when Milligan cut into the lead in the 71st minute with a goal from senior Steven Townley off an assist from fellow senior Ali Mohamed. Before the Buffs could make a comeback, Mid-Continent put the game away with two additional goals late in the match.
  "It was a great season," said Milligan coach Marty Shirley. "I am proud of the guys and their accomplishes during the season."
