Lady Buffs lose to Bryan, then top Wesleyan

  The Milligan College Lady Buffs hosted Bryan (Tenn.) College and Tennessee Wesleyan College in a pair of Appalachian Athletic Conference matches Saturday at the Steve Lacy Fieldhouse, earning a split along the way.
  The Lady Buffs were defeated by Bryan 3-1 in the first match, and swept Tennessee Wesleyan 3-0. With the split in the results, the Lady Buffs now stand at 10-20 overall and 7-12 in the AAC.
  Bryan 3, Milligan 1 (30-22, 21-30, 30-19, 30-28)
  In the first game of the day, the Lady Buffs were led by sophomore Tara Earhart in kills with 18, digs with 15, and served three aces. Freshman Jamie Sly had 45 assist in the contest. Sophomore Beth Snapp and freshman Alyssa Graber (Montgomery, Indiana) were credited with 12 and 11 digs, respectively. Also freshmen Ashley Lokken and Allison Langrel recorded 13 and 11 kills respectively for Milligan.
  Milligan 3, Tennessee Wesleyan 0 (30-23, 30-21, 30-26)
  The Lady Buffs finished their Saturday doubleheader with a sweep over Tennessee Wesleyan. Leading the stats for Milligan was Earhart with a team high with 16 digs and served two aces as Amanda Hyder and Graber also served two aces as well. Langrel led the Lady Buffs with 14 kills followed by Earhart with 13. Sly once again led the assist column with 38 against Tenn. Wesleyan.
  Next for the Lady Buffs is their final home match of the season as Milligan host AAC rival King (Tenn.) College on Tuesday, Nov. 2 for a 6:30 p.m. contest.
