ETSF accepting nominations for Sportsman of the Year awards

   The East Tennessee Sportsman Federation is now accepting nominations for their fourth annual Sportsman of the Year awards. The awards recognizes individuals in East Tennessee that have contributed to the outdoors and outdoor sports in this part of the state.
   The categories for nominations are: Bass Fishing, Striper Fishing, Trout Fishing, Cat Fishing, Pan Fishing, Deer Hunting (gun), Deer Hunting (primitive weapon), Turkey Hunting, Water Fowling, Upland Game, Small Game, Varmit Hunting, Shooting (shotgun), Shooting (rifle), Shooting (pistol), Archery, Hiking, Friend of the Outdoors, Fishing Club of the Year, Hunting Club of the Year, Conservation Club of the Year, Writer of the Year, Outdoor Media of the Year, Wildlife Officer of the Year, Outdoor Business of the Year, Educator of the Year and Legislator of the Year.
   Junior Sportsmen of the Year categories are: Bass Fishing, Striper Fishing, Trout Fishing, Cat Fishing, Pan Fishing, Deer Hunting (gun), Deer Hunting (primitive weapon), Turkey Hunting, Water Fowling, Upland Game, Small Game, Varmit Hunting, Shooting (rifle), Shooting (shotgun), Archery, Friend of the Outdoors, Fishing Club of the Year, Hunting Club of the Year and Conservation Club of the Year.
   Nominations may be made by submitting a letter containing name, address, phone number and why the individual, organization or business is deserving. Nominees must reside in East Tenn. or belong to an East Tennessee Outdoor Club to qualify.
