Jr. Bulldogs whip Lamar

   Maintaining a authoritative presence throughout the game, Hampton Elementary opened up its basketball season with a resounding 54-20 victory at Lamar on Monday night.
   Beating Lamar 10-2 in the first quarter of play, the Junior Bulldogs led 29-10 at the half and outscored their opponent in every stanza.
   Justin Bentley had the hot hand for Hampton, tossing in a game-high 16 points. He was followed by Dustin Jaynes with nine points and Lucas Andrews with seven.
   Edwards and Hill tallied six points apiece for Lamar.
   Hampton travels to Unicoi County Middle School next Monday, and plays host to Fall Branch on Tuesday.
