Jr. Longhorns top Keenburg

   The Johnson County Middle School Longhorns came to Keenburg last night and went home with four victories.
   In the girls' seventh-grade game, April McCloud scored 11 points and Megan Hayworth followed with eight to lead Johnson County to a 23-9 win over the Tigers. Jessica Trivette scored three points for Keenburg.
   In the varsity game 10 girls scored for Johnson County on the way to a 52-5 thrashing. The Lady Longhorns held the Lady Tigers scoreless in the first and third quarters, outscoring them 29-0.
   April McCloud also led the varsity with 13 points. Katie Bacon scored three for Keenburg followed by Alyssa Manz.
   Johnson County jumped out to a 16-3 first-quarter lead and built it to 25-9 by the half.
   Brock Woodring scored two quick baskets and the Longhorns never looked back.
   Gary Evans and Jesse Jenkins scored 15 and 14 for the Longhorns en route to a 53-22 win. Opie Lambert led Keenburg with six.
