Lady Buffs tripped by Montreat

  MONTREAT, N.C. --- The Milligan College Lady Buffs volleyball team lost an Appalachian Athletic Conference contest at Montreat (N.C.) College by a 3-0 margin in a hard-fought AAC struggle on Wednesday.
  Montreat won the three games by scores of 30-28, 30-17 and 30-25.
  Milligan (8-16 overall, 5-8 AAC) was led by sophomore Tara Earhart, who manufactured team highs in with 15 kills and 14 digs. Sophomore Allison Langrel also had 15 kills while freshman Amanda Hyder recorded 12 kills, 13 digs and served one ace.
  Freshman Alison Slagle was credited with 11 digs and served one ace. Freshman Emily Rigney impacted the match for Milligan with 10 digs. Leading the team in assist was freshman Jamie Sly with 38.
  Next for the Lady Buffs will be an AAC road trip to Union (Ky.) College on Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 6:30 p.m. as Milligan tries to avenge an earlier loss to Union.
