from staff reports

BLUFF CITY -- With Brooks Price running wild and the Cyclone defense picking off three passes, Elizabethton posted a 28-14 come-from-behind victory over Sullivan East in freshman football play on Thursday night.
"It was another team effort," said Cyclone coach Jerry Jenkins, whose team trailed 14-6 at the half. "We played good team ball in the second half and came back and won."
Price carried 15 times for 120 yards and four touchdowns, scoring on runs of 3, 10, 2 and 5 yards, while Nick Papantoniou, Justin Fuqua and Jessie Taylor each hauled in interception.
Bo Carter booted a pair of extra points, Wendell Loving tallied a two-point conversion and Jesse Potter recovered a fumble in the Cyclone victory.
Elizabethton, which led 6-0 early on, made it a 14-14 game in the third quarter, then scored its final 14 points in the fourth stanza.
Improving to 2-3 overall, Elizabethton visits Daniel Boone next Thursday.
