Milligan stifles Bryan College

Milligan scored three goals in the first 20 minutes
and cruise to a 4-0 shutout over Bryan College in collegiate
soccer action on Tuesday night at Anglin Field.
Former Science Hill player Brian Browning opened
the scoring in the second minute of play to put Milligan on
the board, 1-0. It was Browning's first goal of the season.
Philip Brock scored two goals for the Buffs.
His first goal in the sixth minute and his second goal capped
the scoring in the 78th minute of play.
Eric Starr also had a goal for Milligan. It was
his first goal of the season.
Michael Hurley chipped in with two assists and
played a very solid game at his midfield position.
Dan Pavlin picked up his third shutout and fourth
win of the season. He stopped all four shots attempted by
Bryan.
Milligan outshot Bryan 20-4 in the win.
The Buffs improves to 8-7-1 while Bryan falls
to 11-5-1.
Milligan will play its final home game of the
season on Saturday against Bethel College at 2 p.m.

Milligan moves up to No. 16
With impressive wins over #13 Belhaven and Covenant
College, the Lady Buffs moved up from 23rd in the national
poll to 16th in this week's NAIA women's soccer poll.
Milligan tossed two more shutouts last week to
bring there total to 10 in only 16 games. They have only allowed
eight goals all season.
Milligan is currently 13-2-1 and 7-0-1 in the
AAC Conference, owning a seven-game unbeaten streak in which
they are 6-0-1.
The Lady Buffs will host Southern Virginia on
Thursday night at 7 p.m. before hosting rival King College
on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. This is the last home game for the
regular season.
