Elizabethton sweeps a pair from Happy

Kyle Wash's two touchdown runs of 65 and 45 yards
lead Elizabethton to a 25-0 shut out Happy Valley in grasscutter
football action.
Quarterback Josh Peterson ran in another score
from inside the 5-yard line. The final score came when Peterson
connected on a scoring strike with Lucas Birchfield, who rumbled
45-yards to the end zone.
Since losing their first game 19-13 to Science
Hill, the Cyclone defense has given up only four first downs
and one touchdown on the season.
Elizabethton Junior PeeWee's White took a 14-8
victory from the Happy Valley Maroon. Justin Fuquis scored
twice for the Boys and Girls Club White and Jerry Berkley
kicked a two-point conversion. Zack Boles and Cody Anderson
were the defensive leaders for the Cyclones, who improved
to 5-1 on the season.
