Lady Buffaloes post sweep of Bluefield

A clean sweep.
That's exactly what happened for the Milligan
College Lady Buffs volleyball team Tuesday night. Kim Hyatt's
squad defeated Bluefield College 30-18, 30-17, 30-11 in Appalachian
Athletic Conference action at Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.
Melanie Reed led the 'Buffs in attacks with eight.
Joy Dobbs and Wendy Weaver came in with seven attacks.
Sara Beair had 15 assists, while Heather Lanning
added 13 assists for Milligan.
Weaver tallied six service aces. Christina Medlin
finished with four aces.
Melanie Reed topped Milligan in digs with seven,
while Weaver finished with six digs.
Weaver also had four blocks for the Lady 'Buffs.
BOGGS HAS BIG DAY FOR MILLIGAN
Ryan Boggs scored three goals for the
Buffaloes in a 4-0 win over Brevard.
Boggs scored all three of his goals in the second
half.
LADY BUFFS SPANK VI
Milligan's women's soccer team scored
six goals in the first half, and never looked back in a 9-0
thrashing of Virginia Intermont Monday night.
Kim Morris and Katie Lindeman each had two goals
to lead Milligan.
Tonya Ruppert, Denise Kichin and Morris each
had two assists for Milligan.
ETSU SOCCER DROPS HEARTBREAKER
JOHNSON CITY--The East Tennessee State women's
soccer team lost 1-0 to Samford Monday night in two overtimes.
Mary Ann Wagner scored the winning goal for Samford.
ETSU goalkeeper Heather Sanden had seven saves
on the night.

KNOXVILLE-- The University of Tennessee has announced
that the Rutgers University-Tennessee football game on Saturday,
September 28 in Knoxville will be televised on VideoSeat pay-per-view.
The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start.
