Twins hang by thread

PULASKI, Va. -- The Pulaski Blue Jays won a thriller Thursday night at Historic Calfee Park, taking a 10-inning game 4-3 from Elizabethton, which saw its West Division title hopes all but vanish.
Left fielder Luke Hetherington contributed to the Blue Jay's win by sending a sixth inning solo homer into the wooden right-centerfield wall behind the fence. The run would be Pulaski's last run until the tenth inning.
Pulaski's hero of the night was third baseman Anthony Garibaldi, who was 3-for-4 on the night, driving in the winning run in the bottom of the tenth with a grounder up the middle through the infield.
In arguably the second most dramatic event of the evening, Elizabethton catcher Timothy Lahey tied the game in the top of the seventh with a two-run homer.
Landon Burt was 3-for-5 for the Twins, who must win their four remaining games and have Greeneville lose its last four to tie the Astros for the division lead. Javier Lopez and Jeremy Pickrel added two hits apiece.
Elizabethton finishes upa three-game series with Pulaski tonight, then ends the season with three games at Princeton.
