Lady 'Horns lose to SC

from staff reports

With a little more firepower, Johnson County might have gotten the job done on Thursday night.
Seeing two games they had a chance to win slip through their fingers, the Lady Longhorns succumbed to Sullivan Central by a 25-17, 25-17, 25-9 Watauga Conference volleyball final.
The first game was tied at 16-all before the Lady Cougars took control, and Johnson County was up 17-15 in the second game, only to see Central score the final 10 points.
Katie Nelson accounted for five service aces and nine digs for the Lady 'Horns, with Ryann Tillman topping the kills department with 14.
Also for Johnson County, Laura Peters totaled 11 digs and Ashley Howard 10.
