Twins turn back Kingsport

  KINGSPORT--Solid pitching, fielding and hitting all fed into a triumphant performance for the Elizabethton Twins on Monday night.
  David Shinskie went six good innings on the mound for Elizabethton, which had no errors and 11 hits while defeating Kingsport 10-4 at Hunter-Wright Stadium.
  Upping his record to 6-2, Shinskie yielded five hits and two runs, struck out three batters and issued two walks.
  Kevin Culpepper followed with two innings of scoreles and hitless relief, striking out two, then Frank Mata got the final three outs.
  Luke Hughes, Trevor Plouffe, Deacon Burns and Landon Burt banged out two hits apiece for Elizabethton, with Hughes and Plouffe each scoring a pair of runs and Burns picking up two RBIs.
  Johnny Woodard drove in a total of three runs, and David Winfree had two RBIs of his own.
  Woodard gave the Twins a big boost by unloading a two-run homer in the second inning, his sixth roundtripper of the season. Hughes and Burt tagged RBI two-baggers before the inning was through, giving Elizabethton a 4-0 advantage.
  The lead grew to 8-0 in the fifth, when Jeremy Pickrel tagged an RBI double and Winfree collected a two-run single.
  Rafael Arroyo batted 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for the Mets.
