Twins take two of three from Burlington

  BURLINGTON, N.C. -- The Elizabethton Twins split a double-header on Friday night against the Burlington Indians. With both games coming close, the Twins took the first game in a 7-6 decision and the Indians came out on top by a score of 6-8.
  Javier Sanchez lead the Twins on offense in the first game going 2-for-2 for one RBI. Javier Lopez went 2-for-3, and Tarrence Patterson went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBIs.
  Dennis Medina (2-0) walked away with his first win, striking out five and allowing four hits and no runs. Jason Bowlin picked up his third save of the season. Reid Santos (2-3) took the loss.
  Matt Tolbert homered into left field to bring around Patrick Ortiz in the first inning of game two. Burlington came out ahead by the third frame, and even a four run fourth couldn't catch up the Twins.
  A two run eighth but the score in the Indians favor.
  Johnny Woodard went 2-for-2 for two RBIs and Matt Tolbert went 1-for-4 for two RBIs. David Winfree went 2-for-4.
  Josh Harris (2-0) took his second win and Kevin Culpepper (0-1) took the loss.
  In last nights game, both teams came out with the hot bats, but the Twins made the best of thier 15 hits for a 11-4 victory. Landon Burt, Deacon Burns and Sanches went 3-for-5 and all three had two runs each. Jeremy Pickrel and Lopez went 2-for-4. Burns and Pickrel also both hit outside the park.
  David Shinskie (3-2) took the win allowing five hits for three runs and stikeing out two. Gerson Mercedes (2-3) took the loss allowing six hits for four runs and striking out five.
