Weekend of sweeps sees Thunder up record to 20-7

   JOHNSON CITY--The Tennessee Thunder of the Southern Collegiate Baseball League now stands at 20-7 after completing three doubleheaders in three days.
   Tennessee was swept Friday evening by Due West (S.C.) by the scores of 5-10 and 2-3. Saturday afternoon, but the Thunder bounced back to sweep Due West 5-1 and 4-1.
   The weekend ended Sunday afternoon as the Carolina (Clemson, S.C.) Chaos visited Milligan College. Tennessee swept the Chaos, as the scores were 10-3 and 4-0.
   Tennessee plays host to Asheville (N.C.) Tuesday evening at 7 at Milligan College. On Thursday evening, the Thunder travels to Asheville for a 7 p.m. game.
   The weekend will be the last weekend homestand for Tennessee. Lenoir (N.C.) comes to town Friday evening at 5 for a doubleheader, then Huntersville (N.C.) visits Saturday at 5 p.m. for a doubleheader.
   The SCBL All-Star Game will be held Wednesday in Spartanburg, S.C. Tennessee will be well-represented at the All-Star Game. Head coach Glenn Davis will coach the North Division All-Stars, and the Thunder has seven players selected for the team.
   Michael Bauer (East Tennessee State University) and Danny McCreedy (King College) will pitch for the North Team. In the infield for the North will be catcher Tyler Belcher (Old Dominion University), first baseman/third baseman Andrew Belcher (King College), second baseman Aaron Porter (King College) and third baseman/shortstop Dustin Price (Milligan College). The outfield will be represented by Brian Lovett (Tusculum College).
   Andrew Belcher is also scheduled to compete in the Home-Run Derby.
