Johnson County rallies to defeat J.C. American

   Johnson County overcame a 4-1 first inning advantage by Johnson City Americans to earn a 9-6 win in the District 5, 11-12-year-old all star tournament at T.J. Burleson Field Tuesday night.
   Bristol Western earned a hard fought 3-1 win the first contest.

   After falling behind 4-1 in the first inning, the Steers erupted for eight runs in the third and fourth innings to hold off the J.C. Americans.
   Eric Cullop led the hitting department for Johnson County, going 2 for 3 while Tyler Fenner was 1 for 1. Jesse Poteet, Daniel Parker Cody Greer and Cullop had doubles in the win.
   Cody Hayworth and Jimmy Bickmore chipped in at 1 for 3 apiece.
   Parker pitched the win.
   Luc Johnson, Scott Greene and Carter McVeigh each went 1 for 2 to lead the Americans while Garrett Case, Charlie Schill and Jordan Eddy were 1 for 3.

   Evan Rock tossed a four-hitter in earning the victory over Bluff City. Rock recorded nine strikeouts while going the distance.
   Josh Leonard was 2 for 3 for Bristol Western, belting a double. Brett Welch added a triple and Jake Lingerfelt a double for Bristol Western.
   Lyle Whitman led Bluff City by going 2 for 3 while Noah Osborne and Derick Haga had the only other hits.
   Conner Osborne pitched well in defeat allowing four hits while striking out eight.
