JC Major upends Carter County American

   In Zone 2 action on Tuesday night at Jim Ensor Field, Johnson City Major went on to beat the Carter County American 11-12 year-old all-star team, 6-2, following a fifth-inning rally.
   Greyson Janeway scored one run for Johnson City in the second, and Carter County put two on the board in the fourth.
   Knox Eryasa and Dan Campbell both hit doubles and earned runs, but a double play at second and third got Justin Pierce and Franky Covarrubies out. Logan Andrew would double, but then Logan Andrews struckout.
   Johnson City had five runs on three hits and three errors in the fifth to further thier lead. Pitcher Nick Arrendondo totalled seven strikeouts and Jonathan Chapman had six for Carter County.
   Johnson City Major now advances to the district tournament. Carter County will have to win its game tonight at 7 to earn a district bid.
