Twins down Burlington

The Elizabethton Twins edged Burlington 5-2 on Sunday to take the last game of three versus the Indians.
The Indians (21-19) scored early on walks in the second and fourth innings to Caleb Brock. He scored in the second on a groundout by Luis Hodge and in the fourth inning on a Hodge RBI single.
The Twins (24-14) countered for an unearned run in the fifth inning and four more in the sixth inning against loser Richard de los Santos (0-2). Jason Posposhil doubled off the top of the right-center field wall to score two in the inning.
Evan Meek (4-1) allowed three hits and two runs in five innings for the victory. LHP Chris Marini pitched three perfect innings and struck out three and RHP Julio DePaula recorded his fourth save with a 1-2-3 ninth inning.
Angelo Fermin and Kyle Phillips both went 2-for-5 while Posposhil batted 1-for-3 for Elizabethton. Fernando Pacheco led Burlington, going 2-for-3.
