'Betsy All-Stars post 12-4 win

   JONESBOROUGH -- The Elizabethton 13-14 all-stars wanted to live another day, and live they did with a 12-4 victory over Greeneville in the losers bracket of the District 5 tournament Wednesday night.
   'Betsy's girls will take on Jonesborough tonight at 7, with the winner advancing to Friday night's championship round.
   Versus Greeneville, Brittany Smith, Mikael Oliver and Mary Edgar energized the Elizabethton offense as each player batted 3-for-4, with Smith and Oliver driving in two runs apiece.
   Lana Blevins, Kendall Blackston, Danielle Hurt and Ryann Musick chipped in one hit each. Blackston and Blevins both drove in two runs, while Hurt accounted for one RBI.
   Relief pitcher Jessica Robinson got the victory, striking out six batters over three innings of work. She walked three and allowed just two hits.
   Taking over for Robinson, Musick racked up 10 strikeouts, yielded two hits and issued one base on balls.
