Unicoi captures Zone 4 title, ENLL
bows out in semifinals

Unicoi County's All-Stars rallied with five runs
in the final inning to beat Greeneville National 9-8 in the
championship game of the Zone 4 Little League tournament on
Saturday.
Ryan Scott went 3-for-4 with the RBI winner in
the bottom of the sixth and winning pitcher Cody Williams
was 2-for-4 at the plate.
Justin Daughtery matched that feat by going 2-for-4
for Greeneville, and Brandon Campbell was 1-for-2.

Elizabethton National 6
To get to the championship game, Greeneville
National scored all eight runs in the first two innings and
held off a challenge from Elizabethton National on Friday
night. Trey James, Justin Daughtery, Justin Merkel and Cline
Everhart all collected hits for Greeneville.
Michael Cox was credited with the win on the
mound. Losing pitcher Ben McKinney did his best to reverse
the outcome, going 3-for-4 at the plate. Jake Peters got the
other hit of the ball game for Elizabethton.
