David's Trophies, Expert Express prove triumphant in JBR action

  David's Trophies and Expert Express earned wins Tuesday night in Jr. Babe Ruth action to remain in the thick of the league race. David's knocked off the Elks 2-1, and Expert Express raced past Citizens Bank 13-2.

  David's pushed across a run in the fifth to earn a come-from-behind win over the Elks. Elks took the lead in the second when Justin Peters walked and later scored on a single by Wyatt Penrod.
  David's tied the score with an unearned run in the fourth and won the game in the fifth when Chris Pierce walked and later scored on a single by Mike Carpenter.
  Matt Rasnick got the win while Jacob Thomas pitched a super game in defeat. Thomas allowed singles to Carpenter and Rasnick for the Giants' only hits.
  Josh Sorah, Ethan Laws and Penrod hits safely for the Cubs as Rasnick twirled a three-hitter in the win.

  Expert used six walks, three errors and one hit to score seven runs in the first inning to knock off the Bankers 13-2.
  Jeff Wilson earned the win while Justin Covington took the loss. Isaiah Osborne led the hitting by going 2-for-3 while Wesley Keylon, Travis Bishop and Jeremy Wright had the only other hits for Expert.
  Justin Covington and Tyler Andes had the only hits for Citizens Bank.
