Aaron set to crank up tennis lessons

Assistant Sports Editor

Al Aaron, tennis instructor for Elizabethton Park and Rec, would like to announce schedules for private and semi-private tennis lessons for the summer.
"I want all of God's children to learn this beautiful game because it really opens doors for you," Aaron said. "I was a little country kid than grew upon a farm in Kentucky back in the '40s and '50s. I literally used to plow behind a mule and would do my homework by a kerosene lamp.
"My father was military and got stationed in Paris, France. My school bus went by the Roland Garros every day and right by the Eiffel Tower. Tennis has opened a lot of doors for me."
Private lessons will be provided at a very reasonable rate of $25 per hour, considerably lower than the often forty-plus dollars outside the area.
Semi-private lessons are $30, again lower than most other areas. Coach Aaron will even be offering a class lesson at $40.
If an interested party has financial difficulty, Aaron does not want that to stop them from learning the sport. Special arrangements can and will be made for those unable to afford it.
