Thunder splits pair of double-headers

   JOHNSON CITY -- The Tennessee Thunder of the Southern Collegiate Baseball League split two double-header series over the weekend.
   On Saturday, the Thunder lost the first game 5-4 at Athens (Ga.), but rebounded to win the second game 3-2.
   The Thunder then traveled to Anderson (S.C.) for another double-header. Once again, the Thunder were defeated in the first game 3-4 but won the second game 6-4. With the results over the weekend, Tennessee stands at 5-2 on the season.
   Next for the Thunder will be a two-game series with Asheville. First the Thunder will host Asheville Tuesday for a 7 p.m. game at Milligan College.
   On Thursday, Tennessee will travel to Asheville for a 7 p.m. contest. The week will continue on Friday evening when the Thunder travels to Lenoir (N.C.) for a double-header starting at 5 p.m.
   The weekend is filled with double-headers at Milligan College on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, Rock Hill (S.C.) comes for a 5 p.m. double-header. Spartanburg revisits the Thunder for a double-header on Sunday afternoon starting at 1.
