Cardinals tame Tigers

   In Boys & Girls Club pee-wee action on Thursday night, the Cardinals played some excellent ball to defeat the Tigers of David's Trophies, 18-1.
   It looked like the game would be a close one in the first inning as both teams played good defense to get out of the inning with no scores.
   In the second inning, the Cards brought out the bats to get things going. Leading the way was Jake Hubbard, Tyler Whitlock and Brian Mullins. At the end of the second inning the score was 7-1.
   The Cardinal again brought out the bats again in the third inning as they scored seven more runs, with David McInturff and Zachary Peters leading the on-slaught.
   The Tigers came to bat in the bottom half of the third inning but were not able to get anyone across the plate.
   In the 4th inning, the Cardinals scored four runs to end the game on the slaughter rule.
