Two no-hitters thrown ENLL

   A pair of no-hitters, one by Adrian Hopson and a combined effort from Drew Chambers and Jared Cline, highlighted this weekend's Carter County National League action.
   Hopson tossed his no-hitter leading Carter County Motors to a 5-2 win over 6-Sigma. Stacy Sheffield, Cody "The Rock" Hyder and Nolan Childers each provided one hit for the victorious team.
   Daniel Simerly suffered the loss for 6-Sigma.
   The Chambers-Cline no-hitter for Cash Express came in a 10-2 victory over Grindstaff Motors.
   Jared Cline gave Cash plenty of firepower in this game, going 4-for-4. Logan Schultz was perfect in his only attempt at the plate, and Chambers and Wyatt Penrod each collected two hits in three at-bats for Cash.

   The Twins racked up 14 hits in the win over Burgie. Benjamin McKinney with four hits and Roy Edwards with three hits led the onslaught. Ricky Jones and Josh Vaughn both had two hits.
   Burgie got hits from Lucas Birchfield, Josh Vaughn, Aaron Vaughn and Zack Miller. Both teams batted through their order in a first inning that saw 13 base on balls.
   Zack Montgomery picked up the win for the Twins.

   Garrett Dykes game-winning home run in the seventh inning lifted VFA over BET. He along with teammates Blake Hopson and Garrett Woods each went 2-for-4 in the win, with Woods also getting the "W" on the mound.
   Brandon Fair going 2-for-2 led BET's offense, while Jake Peters, Justin Miller and Josh Sorah each garnered one hit. Joe Guinn was credited with the loss for BET.

   Justin Peters was 3-for-3 and Hopson 3-for-4 in leading VFA to the win. John Robinson was 2-for-3 while Christopher Dunbar was the triumphant pitcher.
   Nolan Childers, Casey Sheffield and Adrian Hopson each had one hit in the loss for CCM.

Cash Express 3


   It took only three innings for Carter County Bank to roll up the runs in this win as Derrick Mann, Chase Depew, Tyler Blevins and Heath Honeycutt each went 1-for-2.
   Cain McWalters pitched three innings of no-hit ball before being relieved in the fourth to pick up the win. Drew Chambers got Cash's only hit as Daniel Wilson was charged with the loss.
