Twins, C.C. Motors prove triumphant

   Ben McKinney had the hit of the game for the Elizabethton Little League Twins on Monday night at T.J. Burleson Field.
   Accounting for a bases-loaded triple and scoring on a throwing error in the top of the fifth, McKinney propelled the Twins to a 7-5 victory over 6-Sigma in a National League affair.
   The score was 3-2 before the Twins tallied four runs on McKinney's gem, and those runs proved to be valuable as 6-Sigma tallied three in the bottom of the sixth.
   Lance Reed, who notched the win on the mound, joined Craig Sheets, Zack Montgomery and McKinney at 1-for-3 apiece.
   Daniel Simerly was tops for 6-Sigma, going 2-for-3. Teammates Logan Loving, Matt Cannon, Wendell Loving and William Wagner each batted 1-for-3.

   Nick Berkley smashed the ball to the tune of a 3-for-3 effort, sending Carter County Motors to a convincing win over Burgie.
   Nolan Childers went 1-for-2, with Chris "Bucket" Pierce, Adrian Hopson and Stacey Sheffield each going 1-for-3.
   Casey Sheffield, scattering five hits, got the win.
   Zack Miller and Matt Febuary put together 2-for-3 performances to pace Burgie, which got a 1-for-1 showing from Aaron Vaughn.
