Humston captures Club title

   The Elizabethton Golf Course Club Championships were held over the weekend, and the top of the final leaderboard was stocked with familiar names.
   When the two-day event wrapped things up on Sunday afternoon, Joe Humston had emerged as the winner in the championship flight, with Chris Guy turning in a second-place finish.
   Third-place honors went to Bryan Sangid. Rick Wilson came in with a fourth-place showing, and Mike Matheson, co-winner in the recent Masterguard tourney, took fifth.
   First-flight competition saw Ron Crumley achieve first-place status, while Dean Orren finished as the first runner-up. James Norris made a third-place effort, followed by Hugh Parker in fourth.
   Leading the way in the second flight was Mario Roquoac, with Jim Moody placing second, Brian Mock third and Herb Smith and Lynn Powell tying for fourth.
   Upcoming events at Elizabethton Golf Course include the Dino Senesi Classic on Monday, June 17, then the East Tennessee Amateur July 5-7.
