Four Jr. Babe Ruth games were played Saturday at Elizabethton High School, with Expert Express and David's Trophies Giants picking up wins while the Elks Cubs captured two wins in the afternoon tilts.
   Expert Express Diamondbacks 15
   Citizens Bank Braves 0
In the first contest, the Truckers rode the "big rig" Jeff Wilson, whose no-hitter was more than enough to knock off the money lenders. Expert Express would empty the vault for 15 runs, breaking the bank in five innings of work.
Nick Papantoniou led the hitting, going 3-for-3, while Travis Bishop and Wilson followed with 2-for-2 performances. Wendell Loving, Nick McNeal and Luke Snyder chipped in with 2-for-4 days while Logan Shultz batted 1-for-2.
Justin Covington and Josh Lewis was the only players to reach base for Citizens.
   David's Trophies Giants 3
   Moose Yankees 2
In a game that featured two of the league's top teams, the plaque attack overcame a 2-0 lead to knock off the Bullwinkles.
Brooks Price tripled to start the game and scored on a double by Jeff Peters. A single from Daniel Shankle brought home Peters for the second run.
Cody Marley allowed only two hits the rest of the way, going seven innings for the win. The Giants took advantage of four walks in the second inning to tie the score, aided by a Chris "Bucket" Pierce single and a RBI groundout by Sam Adams.
The plaque attack tallied the winning run in the third as Rasnick and Marley combined for hits to help the Giant cause.
Rasnick banged out two hits to lead David's while Marley and Pierce had one each. Peters led the Yankees, going 2-for-3, while Price, Shankle and Larry Creed chipped in with one each.
   Marley got the win.
   Elks Cubs 12
   Tetrick's Marlins 2
Jake Thomas tossed a one-hitter to lead the big deer over the undertakers. Josh Sorah, Tim Franklin, Justin Peters, Jordan Meredith and Wyatt Penrod had one hit each to lead the Elks while Brandon Cole had the only hit for the Marlins.
   Elks Cubs 7
Elizabethton Herb & Metal Reds 0
Josh Sorah came close to tossing a "doe hitter" for the deer, but Tyler Blevins spoiled it with the Reds' only hit. Elks led 3-0 after the first inning, thanks to hits from Sorah, Jacob Thomas, Tim Franklin, Justin Peters and John Morrow.
With Jordan Meredith connecting on a single in the fifth, the Cubs scored three more en route to their second consecutive win. Sorah, Thomas, Peters and Wyatt Penrod had two hits each to lead the Cubs while Franklin, D.J. Reece, Meredith and Morrow added one each.
