Tri-Cities Nissan blanks KFC

   Tri-Cities Nissan took down Kentucky Fried Chicken 11-0 on Friday night in Elizabethton National Little League action.
   Tri-Cities' Drew Clark had a home run while C.J. Bowling went two for three. Jake Miller had a hit, as did Taylor Gouge, Cody Hill, Zack Miller and Ethan Fleenor.
   K.F.C.'s Clayton Ray had the lone hit for his team.
   Tri-Cities pitcher Ethan Fleenor, who got the victory, gave up the hit in the third. Drew Clark finished out the game with five strikeouts.

   Six Sigma's Logan Loving went three for three, including a home run, to lead his team to a 14-7 victory. Cody Tolley and Travis Lowe both went two for two.
   Pitcher Cory Richardson had one hit and threw 10 strikeouts, giving up two hits.
   Valley Forge's Daniel Roberts went one for one and Aaron Garcia went one for two.

   Sigma had tied the game in the fifth inning. However, in the bottom of the sixth, Josh Peterson hit a double, followed by Shawn Shuffler, who reached out on an error. Then Joe Guinn hit a home run over the left-center field fence.

   Tri-Cities' Taylor Gouge had six strikeouts and gave up only one hit and one run. C.J. Bowling went three for three and Drew Clark went two for two.
   Valley Forge's Logan Russell had the lone hit.

   Carter County's Stacey Sheffield gave up one earned run, four hits, two walks and struck out nine in four innings for the victory.
   Sheffield was cruising along like the goat wagon enduring temperatures that reached the upper '80s but keep his cool throughout the day.
   K.F.C.'s James Benge was two for two. Cody Vestal went one for one and Sumner Garland went one for two.
   Jo Jo Runyon and Seth Fleenor both went one for three for Carter County. Both players' hits included an inside-the-park home run.

   Burgie's Justin Bailey pitched a three-hitter, striking out 12 batters and hitting two for three. Drew Chambers went two for three and Matt Febuary went one for three.
   Burgie broke a 3-3 tie in the fifth inning after Bailey singled to start the inning and later scored when Chambers smacked a line drive into the left-center field gap to break open a tight-fisted contest.
   Carter County's Matt Potter went two for three and Landon Smith one for two.
