Pierce serves as catalyst for 6-0 Lawn Care win

   Facing 21 batters, Justin Pierce struck out 14, gave up no hits and only issued one walk as T-N-C Lawn Care defeated Citizens Bank 6-0 in Carter County American Little League action Thursday night.
   Pierce also led the offensive charge, going 2-for-3.
   Kelly Rains, Austin Nanney, Knox Eryasa and Franky Covarrubias also had hits for T-N-C.
   Elizabethton Lumber 11
   Summers-Taylor 3
   Chris Morton, Cody Guess, Jacob Taylor, Jeff Clemons, J. Whitehead and Corey Scalf laid the wood to the ball for Elizabethton Lumber with a six-hit attack.
   Tyler Olson, with a double, was tops at the plate for Summers-Taylor, which received singles from Billy Bales and Jaymon Wilson.

   Burgie Drugs 4
   Jacob Davis went 2-for-2 with his sixth home run of the season to lead Greg's to the win. Winning pitcher Joe Guinn, Michael Hutchins and Josh Peterson scattered four hits over the six innings. Peterson picked up the save.
   Matt Febuary went 2-for-2 for Burgie, with Drew Chambers throwing 11 strikeouts in the losing effort.

   Cody "The Rock" Hyder threw 15 strikeouts, giving up only three hits and three walks. Hyder, Jake Hodge and Casey Sheffield each went 1-for-2 at the plate.
   Matthew Potter went 2-for-2 at the plate with a triple to lead Carter County Bank. Derek Mann also had a triple as well as giving up three hits in three innings at the plate. Chase Depew came in relief with no hits and five strikeouts.
