Lady Cyclones eye state berth

   The Elizabethton High girls' tennis team will play for a berth in the state tournament when it visits Christian Academy of Knoxville this Thursday in a sectional match.
   The Lady Cyclones reached this point by defeating J. Frank White 4-1 for the regional championship last Thursday.
   Winners for Elizabethton included Amanda Pike, who defeated Ashley Mason 6-2, 6-0; Allison Parlier, who beat Amanda Scott 6-2, 6-3; Ashley Street, a 7-5, 6-7 (5), 6-2 victor over Jessica Higdon; and Kristina Elliott, who knocked off Nicole Combs 6-0, 6-4.
