Giants get job done in Jr. Babe Ruth

Elizabethton Herb & Metal and David's Trophies
claimed wins Monday night in Jr. Babe Ruth play at Elizabethton
High School.
Herb & Metal knocked off Tetrick's 16-6, and
David's Trophies humbled Citizens Bank 17-0.
First-year head coach Richard Rowe is pushing all
the right buttons as the scrap irons knocked off the undertakers
in a five-inning contest.
C.J. Campbell got the win while Justin Conway suffered
the loss.
Tyler Blevins, Brandon "B" Burchfield and Josh
Holly collected two hits each for the Reds while Daniel Simerly
had a double and Dylan Shallcross chipped in with a single.
Tetrick's could muster only four hits, with Josh
Hardin going 2-for-2 including two doubles. J.D. Scalf and Brandon
Cole had the other hits for the Marlins.
It took the engravers only four innings to earn
a win over the Braves. Cody Marley pitched the win on a three-hitter
while Justin Covington took the loss.
Scott Burleson led the Giants, going 3-for-3, while
Aaron Bradford, Brandon Medina, Matt Rasnick and Marley added
one hit each.
Mike Bowers had a good night for the Braves, going
2-for-2, while Tyler Andes ripped a triple in a losing cause.
