Nissan slips past Burgie

Drew Clark and Jake Miller had back-to-back homers,
leading Tri-Cities Nissan to a 6-5 win over Burgie Drugs in
the Elizabethton National Little League Saturday at T.J. Burleson
Field.
Zack Miller threw three scoreless innings to
record a save. C.J. Bowling with two hits and Caleb Sheets
with one hit also aided the TCN effort.
Matt Febuary and Aaron Vaughn went 2-for-3 each
for Burgie with Justin Bailey and Lucas Birchfield having
one hit. Drew Chambers threw 13 strikeouts in a losing cause.

Matt Potter hit a triple for the game's lone
RBI with Caleb Banks also getting a hit for the Bankers. Chase
Depew threw 10 strikeouts before being relieved by Derek Mann
in the final inning, who fanned three batters.
Jacob Davis and Josh Peterson each had hits for
Greg's. Shawn Sheffield and Joe Guinn each turned double plays
in the loss.

Cody Tolley and Cory Richardson each singled
in the bottom of the seventh, setting up the winning RBI by
Ethan McKinney.
Richardson also starred on the mound. He threw
11 strikeouts in six innings, while only giving up two hits
before being relieved by winning pitcher Conner Plass.
Jacob Alexander, Sumner Garland, Nick Campbel
and Caleb Durant all cooked up hits for KFC.
Carter County Motors, Valley Forge Auction (play
suspended)
Carter County Motors held a 9-0 lead after three
innnings when play was suspended in the top of the fourth
due to lightning.

Carter County Motors had enough horsepower to
win the battle of the car dealers, with reliever Casey Sheffield
not only getting the save but also going 2-for-2 at the plate.
Cody Anderson was also 2-for-2, with Seth Fleenor
going 2-for-3 with a home run over the right-center field
fence. Nick Kyte and Jake Hodge had one hit apiece for the
winners.
Cody Hill went 2-for-3 to lead Tri-Cities Nissan,
who also had hits from Dylan Wiseman, C.J. Bowling, Jake Miller,
Ethan Fleenor, Zack Miller and Caleb Sheets.

Burgie scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth
to tie the game, and then won in the sixth with a walk by
Jordan Vanhoy and a hit by Daniel Young that drove in Vanhoy
as the winning run.
Justin Bentley, Aaron Vaughn, Lucas Birchfield
also had hits for Burgie. The hit parade for Six had Jacob
Howell, Cory Richardson and Logan Loving on board.
