E-Federal overwhelms E-Lumber

   Belting out 19 runs in the first three innings, Elizabethton Federal rolled to a 20-4 victory over Elizabethton Lumber in Carter County American Little League action on Saturday.
   Dustin Turbyfill, David McInturff and Drew Shingleton all laid the wood to the ball to the tune of two hits in the victory.
   Jarred Whitehead had two hits, with Chris Morton, Cody Guess and Anthony Cole all garnering a single hit for Lumber.

   Summers-Taylor 2
   Jonathan Chapman with a 3-for-4 effort and two-hit showings by Tyler Jaynes and Justin Pierce proved enough for T-N-C to keep rolling in league play.
   Brian Hamby, Billy Bales and Jaymon Wilson all had hits for Summers-Taylor's road crew in the loss.

   Cline Holder 6
   Alec Whitehead hit a game-winning inside the park home run in the six inning for KFC. Dan Campbell and Micah Cates fried up two hits each, helping to ensure the winning recipe.
   Zack Boles with three hits and Matthew Street with two hits were the leaders for Cline-Holder.

   Knox Eryasa went 2-for-3, while Tyler Jaynes and Joseph Wilson each scored two runs helping Lawn Care mow over KFC.
   Jonathan Chapman picked up the win at the plate.
   Coty Vance with a double and Micah Cates with a single led the efforts of the Chicken Cookers.

   Elizabethton Federal 1
   Lead-off batter and pitcher Zack Boles scored three runs, while Jordan Banner made the most of his four times at the plate scoring four runs to lead Cline-Holder to the big win.
   Austin Smith scored the lone run for E-Federal.

   Citizens Bank 9
   Federal recovered nicely in the nightcap with an eight-run first inning leading to the win. David McInturff, Drew Shingleton and Dustin Turbyfill each had two hits for Elizabethton Federal.
   Jake Hubbard had two hits to lead Citizens Bank, which made a three-run deposit in the top of the six to almost tie the game.
