Lady Junior Cyclones rip Science Hill

   JOHNSON CITY -- Bolting to a 6-0 first-inning lead, T.A. Dugger had no trouble disposing of Science Hill in the first round of the Middle 7 Conference softball tournament, recording a 13-2 victory at Metro-Kiwanis Park.
   In the first inning, the Lady Jr. Cyclones (16-1) got walks from Kyla Jones, Taylor Bellessa, Jasmine Treadway and Chelsey Fagan, complementing a Leah Henson RBI double and Summer Smith run-scoring single.
   Scoring once in the fourth, T.A. Dugger polished off its victory in fine style by pushing across six runs in the fifth.
   Henson and Smith both went 1-for-1 and scored two runs to pace the Lady Cyclones offensively. Madison McKinney contributed an RBI single, Fagan had two runs and an RBI, and Ballessa added a run-scoring sacrifice.
   Smith garnered the victory on the mound, shutting out Science Hill four of five innings.
