ETSU record first sweep of The Citadel

   JOHNSON CITY -- East Tennessee State held on to defeat The Citadel, 9-7, in Southern Conference baseball action Sunday afternoon at rainy Cardinal Park.
   The win gave the Bucs a sweep of the series, marking the first time that ETSU has won all three games in a series against the Bulldogs in school history.
   Another milestone that was reached on Sunday was Buccaneer head coach Tony Skole's 200th career victory. Skole won his 100th game at ETSU on Apr. 18 against Appalachian State.
   Sophomore righty Jeremy Hall earned the win (8-6) after allowing seven runs on seven hits in 6.1 innings. Hall also struck out two and walked two.
   Josh Kite picked up his first save of the season, giving up just two hits and striking out three in 2.2 innings.
   Caleb Moore led the Bucs at the plate again, going 3-for-5 with a run scored and three RBIs. It was the ninth-straight game that Moore had recorded multiple hits, batting .628 (27-43) in that span. Byrne also went 2-for-3 with two walks, scoring two runs and driving in two more.
