Peebles downs Big John's

   Brittany Sorrell collected two hits at the plate and combined with Megan Guinn to scatter three hits in leading Peebles to an 8-2 win over Big John's in Elizabethton National Little League action on Saturday.
   Guinn, Brittany Thomas, Brannon Rodgers, Chelsea Pate and Katie Eless all had one hit each as Pebble's broke open a 2-2 tie in the final two innings. Sorrell, Thomas, Rodgers, Dawn Miller and Haley Thacker all scored runs.
   Mindy Montgomery threw 10 strikeouts in the losing effort, as Jackie Jessie and Melissa Freeman scored for Big John's.

   Kadey Robinson had a stellar game, giving up only a single to Brittany Henson and throwing 12 Ks. She also was key at the plate, with two singles and a double.
   Amanda Schultz and Elizabeth Quintero each had two hits for Blossman. Jamie Andrews was given the loss for EPD.

   Greg's Pizza 7, Burgie Drug 0
   Greg's came out with the bats swinging in the scoring six runs on five hits for the win. Joe Guinn had the game win tossing nine strikeouts and allowing one only hit in three innings. Josh Peterson relieved Guinn throwing a no-hitter over the remaining innings.
   Losing pitcher Drew Chambers had the lone hit for Burgie's.
   Tri-Cities Nissan 12, KFC 4
   Tri-Cities Nissan scored 10 runs over the first three innings as Jake Miller led the way with two hits. Dylan Carr, Tyler Whitlock and Nathaniel Thomas each had one hit for TCN, with Taylor Gouge picking up the win.
   Clayton Ray went 3-for-3 (two singles and a double) for KFC with James Benge getting a triple.
   Carter County Bank 3, Carter County Motors 2
   Top pitchers Chase Depew and Cody Hyder hooked up in a pitching duel as each team was limited to only two hits. Derek Mann came in to get the save for CCB, striking out the final three batters.
   An error in the bottom of the fifth put Bank on top, who had hits from Nick Kyte and Seth Fleenor.
   Six Sigma 19, Valley Forge Auction 2
   Conner Plass, Ethan McKinney, Justin Reagan and Jacob Howell each had two hits in a dozen-hit parade for Six Sigma. Cory Richardson was the winning pitcher with the team exploding for ten fourth inning runs.
   Cody Jenkins, going 2-for-2, and Aaron Base, 2-for-3, led Valley Forge with the sticks. Jordan Austin and Willie Schneider each had a single hit for Auction.
   Friday's Games
   Carter County Motors 4, Greg's Pizza 3
   Down 3-1 in the fourth, Greg's tied the game in the top of the fourth with a home run by Jacob Davis and a double by Shawn Shuffler. In the bottom of the sixth, Carter County's Casey Sheffield got on base with an error, Jake Hodge hit a single and Bryan Mullins was hit by a pitch to fill the bases.
   Brad Townsend delivered in the game winning situation, hitting a single that drove home Sheffield and handing Greg's their first loss of the season.
   Carter County Bank 4, KFC 0
   Austin Johnson had a no-hitter through three innings before being relieved by the duo of Caleb Banks and Eli Osborne, who combined for a one-hitter. Jonathan Franklin was 2-for-2 at the plate and Matthew Potter crushed a three-run homer to lead the CCB offensive efforts.
   Derek Mann and Chase Depew had the other hits for Carter County Bank. Nick Campbell had the lone hit for KFC.
