Tetrick Yanks  top Citizens for first win

   The Tetrick Yankees put their first dent in the win column on Monday night, defeating the Citizens Bank Reds 9-4 in an Elizabethton Babe Ruth contest.
   Josh Cole picked up the victory on the mound while Lynn Potter led the Tetrick bats with a 1-for-2 game.
   Brandon Cole, Chris Wagner, Josh Cole and Justin Conway added 1-for-3 efforts for the winners.
   Tyler Blevins, with a 2-for-3 outing, and Jordy Johnson, at 1-for-1, topped the Reds.
   (Note: The league passes along its condolences to the Tetrick family regarding the death of Frances Tetrick, and will keep the family in its prayers.)

Jordan Honeycutt threw six innings of victorious relief for the Twins, who got a 2-for-3 game from Cory Pearson and a pair of RBIs from Brooks Price.
   Chris Richardson contributed a 1-for-1 effort to the winning cause, with Michael Price and Jeff Peters going 1-for-2 and 1-for-3, respectively.
   Scott Burleson topped the Red Sox attack by batting 2-for-3. Matt Rasnick went 1-for-2, and Cody Marley pitched three scoreless innings of relief.

   Citizens Bank Reds 7

   Jeff Peters of the Moose Twins ran his pitching record to 5-0 in the Jr. Babe Ruth as the Twins defeated the Citizens Bank Reds 14-7 on Sunday.
   Peters allowed only one hit in his pitching as the Red scored most of their runs in the final inning.
   Cory Pearson belted a homer, went 4-for-4 and hurled three scoreless innings for the Twins. Daniel Shankle and Brooks Price added 3-for-4 efforts, with Larry Creed and Peters both going 2-for-4.
   Daniel Guinn and Josh Hutchins each batted 1-for-2 to pace Citizens Bank.

   Citizens Bank Cubs 2
   Robert Davenport did a good job on the mound for the win, and received plenty of offensive support as the Braves thumped the Cubs.
   Josh Lewis and Tyler Andes both batted 2-for-3 and Coty Mann 1-for-1 at the plate for PIC, which got a 1-for-2 game from Blake Hopson.
   Hunter Taylor and Shane Heaton led the Cubs by going 1-for-1 apiece. Batting 1-for-2 each were Andrew Church, Jake Thomas, Jesse Egler and John Morrow.
   Saturday's Games
   Expert Express Diamondbacks 6
   Phillips Devel. Red Sox 0
   Bo Carter pitched his way to victory and went 1-for-3 with the bat, helping the Diamondbacks blank the Red Sox.
   Nick NcNeal, Cory Nave and Nick Papantoniou also went 1-for-3 apiece for Expert Express.
   Topping the Red Sox attack were Jake Peters and Brandon Medina, each at 1-for-3.

   Elks Cubs 2
   Cory Pearson and Brooks Price keyed a Moose scoring assault as both players chalked up 3-for-3 performances.
   Jeff Peters, who allowed only two hits in collecting the pitching win, joined Cory Miller and Larry Creed at 2-for-3 apiece.
   The Cubs got 1-for-2 showings from Tim Franklin, Jake Thomas, Shane Heaton, Jake Oliver and John Morrow.

   Tetrick Yankees 4
   Chris Wagner slammed a pair of home runs and totaled four RBIs in three at-bats for Tetrick, but PIC still had enough to stay undefeated on the season.
   Coty Mann batted 2-for-3 and notched the victory on the hill. Teammate Heath Honeycutt carried a good portion of the hitting load with a 2-for-2 game.
   Adam Townsend contributed a 2-for-3 effort for the Yankees.

   Coty Mann went 2-for-3 and tagged a home run to lift the Braves over the Reds in decisive style.
   Ryan Kennedy added a 1-for-2 showing for PIC, while pitcher Derek Nave shut down the Banker bats for the win.
   Daniel Guinn paced the Reds with two hits in three at-bats. Josh Hutchins was 1-for-2.
