   Justin Pierce did a superb job on the mound, registering 11 strikeouts while allowing only two hits, to lead TNC Lawn Care to a 9-2 win over Inland Paperboard in Carter County American Little League baseball on Thursday night.
   TNC racked up three runs in the second inning, one in the fourth and five in the fifth to take the decision over Inland.
   Franky Covarrubas with two hits led the Lawn Care attack. Jacob Hitchcock, Tyler Jaynes, Knox Eryasa, Josh Peterson and Jon Chapman had other hits for TNC.
   Britt Yelton had six strikeouts of his own in a losing cause, and also went 1-for-2 at the plate. Jared Reece had the other hit for Inland.

   Inland also dropped game two of this double header.
   Once again, they ran into a hot pitcher as Dakota Waters threw seven Ks. Crystal Covington and Daniel Murray had two hits apiece to pave the way for Summers-Taylor. Jennifer Whitten and Billy Palmer also had hits for the winning team.
   James Boot, Jeremy Arwood, Taylor Edwards and Jordan Pearce all got hits for Inland.
