Hutchins keys Banker victory

from staff reports

Josh Hutchins took matters much into his own hands on Wednesday night, pitching a three-hitter and striking out 12 batters to lead the Citizens Bank Reds to an 8-1 victory over the Elks Cubs in an Elizabethton Babe Ruth contest.
Hutchins didn't hurt himself at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a three-run triple.
Daniel Simerly had a big offensive game for the Reds, batting 3-for-4, with teammates Daniel Guinn and Michael Hodge contributing two hits each.
John Morrow's 1-for-2 output was tops for the Cubbies. Andrew Church and Tim Franklin followed at 1-for-3 apiece.
