Dunbar pitches V.F. Auction to win against Cash Express

   Chris Dunbar didn't get off to a good start on Monday night, but he sure made up for it.
   The Valley Forge Auction pitcher gave up two runs in the first inning, then pitched a masterpiece during an 8-2 win over Cash Express in National Little League play.
   Dunbar struck out 10 batters on the evening, and didn't give up a run after giving up those two early on.
   The Dunbar hitters also took care of business by scoring seven runs in the fourth inning to erase a 2-0 deficit.
   Bradley McVey led Valley Forge with a 2-for-2 effort. Jordan Hayes, Garrett Dykes, Andy Crockett and Aaron Garcia were 1-for 2 for the Auctioneers.
   Joe Guinn topped Cash Express with a 2-for-3 effort.

   Burgie 0
   Carter County Motors ended a scoreless tie with two runs in the fourth to knock of Burgie.
   Chris Pierce went 2-for-2 with a run scored to lead Carter County, while Cody Hyder finished 1-for-2 with a run scored.
   Brandon Birchfield was the winning pitcher.
   Jordan Meredith topped Burgie with a 2-for-2 effort, while Luke Martinez and Zach Miller had the other hits for Burgie.
   Casey Crapps pitched well in defeat.
