BMS to host Scout Expo Saturday

The Sequoyah Council, Boy Scouts of America invites the public to see the fun and adventure Scouting has to offer with the 2003 Scout Expo to be held at Bristol Motor Speedway this Saturday, May 3, from noon-4 p.m.
More than 2,500 Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and Scout leaders will operate over 100 action stations designed to display Scouting skills while offering hands-on fun for the whole family. Action stations will include games, crafts, orienteering, archery, cooking demonstrations and more.
Scouts from throughout the 15-1/2 counties in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia will be involved.
"The Expo will be a tremendous show," said Bob Estes, this year's Scout Expo chairman. "Scouting is about having fun, but you don't have to be a Scout to have fun at the Expo. It is designed for the whole family."
In addition to the Scout Expo, troops from throughout the region will be camping over the weekend.
