Local AAU team captures Greeneville Pepsi Classic

   The East Tennessee Renegades, a local 14 and under AAU baseball team, won the Greeneville Pepsi Classic this past weekend.
   They went 4-0 by defeating the Knoxville Force (score 8-0), the Greeneville Marlins (9-0) and the Salem, Va. Badgers (7-0) in pool play.
   The championship game went nine innings against the tough Badgers. Brandon Shoun hit a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth to give the Renegades the 3-2 win.
   The Renegades will be back in action May 24-26 in the "Battle in the Mountains" Tournament in Johnson City, and again the following weekend in the Knoxville Dugout Classic.
